Bald Hound Frag: Beta LAN Announced, November 18, 2011

REXBURG, Idaho—All Rexburg gamers are invited to attend Bald Hound Frag’s catered Beta LAN Party on Friday, November 18th, at Teriyaki Express.

The Beta LAN will be hosted by Bald Hound Frag, a local LAN party company, that has been serving Eastern Idaho since late 2006.

Bald Hound Frag (BHF) was initially headquartered in Idaho Falls in an effort to provide small to medium-scale gaming events for the Idaho Falls community. They have since expanded to other areas such as Rexburg.

The company is jointly owned and operated by two people; Christopher Hannan and Mariano Caputto. Mariano recently graduated from Boise State University and Christopher is continuing his education at Brigham Young University–Idaho as a communications major.

Since inception, the company has held four LAN parties in the following locations: Red Lion hotel, Shilo Inn hotel, Skyline High School and Rockland apartments.

The company has stated that ‘it is hosting the event for a myriad of reasons.’

“Video gaming is subject to criticism just as other types of entertainment,” said Christopher Hannan, joint owner of Bald Hound Frag.

Within the company exists a strong belief that it is healthier and safer for persons to game in groups of people, rather than in a dark and quiet room, all alone.’

“Fostering togetherness for gamers is key,” the company says.
